KCS F9A "Meridian" at Kendleton, TX on July, 15, 2009
Bulldog nose. That’s the nickname given to the nose design of EMD F-units (E8 and E9’s also).
Why would anyone nickname the graceful, curved lines of the nose of this classic locomotive “bulldog nose”?
Well, I guess that answers that question….
