Valley Eagle Tour – Hearne to Houston
I did a quick edit on the footage that I captured today of the SHEHO-11, aka UP 844 and its special train on the Hearne to Houston leg.
Long story short, lots of run and gun shooting (fun) amid horrific driving conditions (not fun).
Enjoy the video…

Ha! So that was you on the (I think it was) Lockwood overpass at Englewood Yard while I was filming the 844 coming into Houston. I also did some filming two days later when it departed for Bloomington. Except for the Lockwood overpass, none of our locations seemed to coincide (unless you didn’t post some that did). I got footage of it arriving and departing Spring from the ground, the backup move on the SP freight main after departing the Amtrak station, from the Almeda-Genoa overpass on the ATSF, flying by shots at Liverpool and Blessing, and a pacing shot around Francitas. I enjoyed both of your postings going to and leaving Houston. You really picked some good locations. I was once a brakeman on the Kingsville division and walked a lot of inspections on the curve at SK siding (Bay City) and Brownie (adjacent to Algoa) where you had some nice footage.
